About
Under the « Telecommunications and Networks » (TEC) and « Electromagnetic Detection and Electronic Warfare » (DEGE) strands of the general partnership agreement, a joint call for applications is launched with the DGA and the AID to fund PhD projects, 18- or 24-month postdoctoral projects, and 18- or 24-month research engineer projects. Applying entities choose the framework they propose.
Projects may be submitted by researchers accredited to supervise research (HDR) within the institutions that are signatories to the agreement — the supervisory bodies of the IETR, IRISA, IRMAR, Lab-STICC and IODE research units — as well as the Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan military academy, the École navale, ENSAI and the FOTON research unit (UMR 6082).
DGA MI puts forward five topics, detailed in Annex 1 of the call regulations: radio propagation; radio-frequency measurement techniques; radiating systems and antenna processing; waveform protection and telecom electronic warfare; counter-drone operations. A sixth strand covers networks.
Applications are submitted through the Creach Labs call management platform: submit a project. The submission includes a project description of 6 to 10 pages, excluding publications, the keywords locating the topic within the TEC-DEGE reference framework, and the scientific supervisor's CV, limited to two pages.
For postdoctoral positions, priority will be given to applications whose candidates have spent at least 18 months abroad over the past three years; eligible project leaders will be invited to apply to the Bienvenüe Bretagne scheme, whose submission period runs from April to May 2027.
